Shana's Works

Chopsticks was a collaborative project between me and two other classmates. Its about a young boy names Gong Kia (literally dumb kid) in hokkien who playfully plays around with his chopsticks and accidentally summons a demon. We wanted a story on "Respecting Traditions" with a young VS old attitude towards theses superstitious traditions.

We chose the superstition on chopsticks where leaving them up right in a bowl is considered to be inauspicious. We thought this would be a perfect way to show the difference in attitude between Gong Kia and his grandmother towards the inauspicious chopsticks.
